What Is Inpatient Rehab?

Inpatient rehab, or residential treatment, is a highly structured, intensive addiction treatment. Clients live at the facility, away from drugs or alcohol, and receive evidence-based treatment from licensed professionals throughout the day. Inpatient rehab helps you focus entirely on your recovery to give you the tools required to stay sober.

Attending inpatient rehab could be life-changing if any of these apply to you.

  • Alcohol or drug misuse has significantly impacted my life

  • Getting away from triggering people or places would benefit me

  • My home environment feels unstable or unsafe

  • I’ve tried outpatient care before, but it didn’t help

If any of these items apply to you, please call 856-890-9449 now. A Recovery Advocate is standing by to discuss the right treatment plan for you.

How long is inpatient rehab?

How long it takes to complete treatment depends on the person’s behavioral health needs and substance use history. Most clients finish medical detox and inpatient rehab programs in 20–35 days.

Will I be forced to stay in inpatient rehab?

Leaving treatment early often leads to relapse and overdose, so we encourage clients to complete their treatment plans entirely. However, as long as they are not a danger to themselves or others, clients may leave rehab, even against medical advice, at any time.

Does inpatient rehab work?

Yes, many people began their lifelong recovery with inpatient addiction treatment. While there is no “cure” for substance use disorder, recovery is possible. We consider inpatient rehabilitation successful based on improvements to our client’s physical and mental health, employment or educational status, relapse time, safety and legal status and relationships with loved ones.

How can I pay for inpatient rehab?

Insurance may cover some or all of the inpatient rehab costs. The Recovery Village Cherry Hill at Cooper can also work with clients without insurance to develop a private pay option.

Will I lose my job if I go to rehab?

Attending inpatient treatment will mean leaving your job, at least temporarily, but there are Several laws in place that can help protect employees when they attend inpatient rehab.

Will I lose my kids if I go to rehab?

Treating your addiction is the best way to create a better future for your children. While there are no guarantees you’ll maintain child custody, completing rehab to reduce the negative effects of addiction on your life may make you more likely to keep your children.

Great program and supportive environment—helped me conquer my alcohol addiction.

Sent a family member here to get help because they took our insurance. Negatives would be that they are a little understaffed and the food is not very good. (Though the chef was a lovely man!) But why my family member came here was not for the food, it was to recover from his addiction. He had a helpful counselor and there were lots of meetings and groups almost all day which really assisted in him getting plugged into the right mentality. There was a gentleman Antwon who facilitated most of the groups he sat in and it truly made things click for him. Antwon truly understands the disease of addiction and absolutely had an impact on this working for my family member. My family member came out of there humble and ready and willing to do what he needed to do to recover this time. He is currently in AA and going through the steps with a sponsor and I can already see the change in him. Some people aren’t ready to recover and if that is the case, no rehab will get them there long term. However, if someone you love is struggling and is ready to start living better, this place is a perfect place to start their beginning.
