  • I keep using drugs or alcohol to avoid feeling uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms

  • I’ve been using substances for a long time or in large quantities

  • I’m addicted to alcohol or benzodiazepines; these withdrawal symptoms can be fatal

If any of these items apply to you, please call 856-890-9449 now. A Recovery Advocate is standing by to discuss the right treatment plan for you.

Life-changing experience. The care and support were amazing from start to finish!
Great program and supportive environment—helped me conquer my alcohol addiction.
Great program and supportive environment—helped me conquer my alcohol addiction.
Sent a family member here to get help because they took our insurance. Negatives would be that they are a little understaffed and the food is not very good. (Though the chef was a lovely man!) But why my family member came here was not for the food, it was to recover from his addiction. He had a helpful counselor and there were lots of meetings and groups almost all day which really assisted in him getting plugged into the right mentality. There was a gentleman Antwon who facilitated most of the groups he sat in and it truly made things click for him. Antwon truly understands the disease of addiction and absolutely had an impact on this working for my family member. My family member came out of there humble and ready and willing to do what he needed to do to recover this time. He is currently in AA and going through the steps with a sponsor and I can already see the change in him. Some people aren’t ready to recover and if that is the case, no rehab will get them there long term. However, if someone you love is struggling and is ready to start living better, this place is a perfect place to start their beginning.
Cooper Drug and Alcohol Rehab's Recovery Village Cherry Hill provides a great environments and a committed staff.
Throughout my recovery process, Sarah's kindness and direction at The Recovery Village Cherry Hill have been helpful.

FAQs About Our Medical Detox Program

How long is medical detox?

The duration of medical detox depends on the substance used, withdrawal symptoms and physical health. Most clients complete medically supervised detox in 5–7 days.

Can I detox at home?

We do not recommend detoxing at home. Withdrawal can be uncomfortable and demotivating, leading to relapse. In particular, alcohol and opioids have withdrawal symptoms that can be fatal without immediate medical attention.

Does medical detox work?

Yes, 24/7 medical supervision ensures a successful drug or alcohol detox. However, medical detox is only the beginning of addiction treatment; you’ll continue with additional treatment and counseling to stay on the path to recovery.

Will I receive methadone, suboxone, etc., during detox?

The Recovery Village Cherry Hill at Cooper offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) as medically appropriate. Your clinical team will determine your needs and eligibility for MAT.

How can I pay for medical detox?

Insurance may pay for some or all of medical detox. Without insurance, The Recovery Village Cherry Hill at Cooper can discuss private payment options with you.

Will I lose my job if I attend medical detox?

Several laws are in place to protect employees when they participate in medical detox and rehab.
