Addiction Treatment in New Jersey

A high-quality rehab program usually offers multiple care levels, known as a continuum of care. As you complete intensive levels and are ready, you can move down into programs that offer more flexibility and freedom.

Levels of care can include:

  • Medical detox, with a 24/7 medical team who can treat withdrawal symptoms as they occur, improving safety and comfort.
  • Inpatient rehab, during which you live onsite while you focus entirely on recovery in a structured, scheduled, and intensive environment.
  • Outpatient rehab allows the most freedom and flexibility of the treatment levels, and you can continue working, going to school, or keeping up with home and family requirements as needed.

Specialized programs may also be available, such as medication-assisted treatment. With medication-assisted treatment, medicines are used to reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings, discouraging substance use while treatment is ongoing. Dual diagnosis treatment integrates the simultaneous therapies needed for co-occurring mental health disorders.

At The Recovery Village Cherry Hill at Cooper, we offer all the above care and programs. We also offer unique programs, such as FORTITUDE, for first responders, veterans, and public safety professionals’ unique needs.

How Much Does Rehab Cost?

The cost of rehab shouldn’t be prohibitive as far as getting treatment that can save your life or the life of someone you love. There tends to be a lot of variation in treatment costs, with contributing factors including whether care is inpatient or outpatient and how long the program is. Other factors include whether or not you have insurance and, if so, what your plan covers. Insurance usually covers at least some and even potentially all rehab and mental health care costs.

You still have options if you don’t have insurance or can’t otherwise afford rehab. There are local and state-funded treatment centers. These can be low-cost or free if you meet specific eligibility requirements. There are also grants and scholarships to help you get addiction treatment. Other payment solutions include Medicaid coverage, payment plans, and medical loans.

How Long Is Rehab?

A rehab program’s length will depend on your mental and physical health care needs, the severity of your addiction, whether you’ve gone to other programs, and the program itself. General lengths of inpatient rehab can be 30, 60, or 90 days. Some programs are more extended, as needed. It all depends on your treatment plan.
